Professional Engineer, Water-Wastewater

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; hybrid schedule with Tuesday–Thursday in the office and Monday–Friday working from home. Frequent travel throughout the United States may be required.

Salary: $80,000–$122,450 per year.

What you will do

• Design drinking water treatment systems, wastewater collection networks, treatment plants, and pump stations.
• Apply hydraulic, water-wastewater, and infrastructure design expertise to complex projects in Minnesota and across the country.
• Prepare technical reports and specifications and participate in project team discussions.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Support construction administration, client consultations, site inspections, and project visits.
• Coach, mentor, and develop graduate engineers, technicians, and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment, hydraulic design, and/or infrastructure design.
• Professional Engineer registration in Minnesota, or the ability to obtain it within 12 months, plus at least four years of progressive water and wastewater project experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting company requirements; ability to travel, work outdoors, walk over rough terrain, climb, carry up to 40 pounds, and stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Project management experience involving scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Experience collaborating with or leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Market development, proposal preparation, fee estimating, and client relationship experience.
• Knowledge of ArcMap, SWWM, AFT Fathom, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and/or Revit.
