Lead Engineer/Sr. Project Manager, Water (water and wastewater infrastructure): Leading the planning, design, and construction of complex stormwater, water, and wastewater infrastructure for municipal clients with an accent on hydraulic analysis, rehabilitation design, technical documentation, and project delivery. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and schedules, developing client proposals, and mentoring engineering staff.

Salary: $140,800–$211,200 annually

What you will do

  • Lead teams pursuing stormwater, water, and wastewater infrastructure opportunities for regional municipal clients.
  • Direct engineering design for treatment facilities, pipelines, pumping systems, water distribution, storage, reclaimed water, and stormwater management projects.
  • Perform condition assessments, rehabilitation design, planning studies, hydraulic calculations, and preparation of technical specifications and drawings.
  • Prepare technical reports, studies, memoranda, cost opinions, task proposals, and requests for proposals.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, resources, client coordination, invoicing, and payments.
  • Present deliverables to clients and mentor engineering staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 15+ years of water and wastewater engineering consulting experience serving municipal clients.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
  • Experience preparing contract documents, drawings, and specifications for complex water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams and strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work in or around Richmond, Virginia in a hybrid arrangement.
