Water Treatment Process Engineer

What you will do

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial water treatment projects.
• Develop treatment processes, process hydraulics, facility upgrades, and optimization strategies.
• Conduct engineering analyses, field investigations, and data evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support safe, reliable, and regulatory-compliant water treatment solutions.
• Operate a company or personal vehicle for business-related travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) Certification.
• Ability to interpret water quality and laboratory testing data for treatment process evaluation and optimization.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local drinking water regulations, codes, and industry standards for public water systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice to have

• Professional training or certifications in water or wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience with potable water treatment facility planning or process evaluation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Experience with WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, EPANET, or similar hydraulic modeling software.
• Ability to manage municipal water treatment projects through planning, design, implementation, and commissioning.
