Electrical Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; four days per week in the office, with flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays.

What you will do

• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction completion for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare electrical engineering drawings, layouts, calculations, reports, and technical narratives.
• Participate in project objective, goal, and documentation development.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with other disciplines and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 2 years of experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Experience preparing electrical designs and engineering documentation.
• Ability to work in a four-day in-office model in Phoenix, with remote flexibility on Fridays.

Nice to have

• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
• Experience with BIM workflows, including Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Interest or experience in photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage systems, EV charging stations, solar canopies, microgrids, or specialty energy systems.
• Lighting or low-voltage design experience.
