Electrical Engineer II - Building Services

What you will do

• Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs for medium- and low-voltage power distribution, lighting, and special systems.
• Create power, grounding, and lighting plans, single-line diagrams, and panel schedules using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications, load studies, utility service estimates, and short-circuit, ampacity, and voltage-drop calculations.
• Support designers during BIM modeling and coordinate electrical scope with architecture and engineering teams.
• Review vendor shop drawings, contractor submittals, and RFIs for design accuracy and contract compliance.
• Provide technical support to project managers, field personnel, estimators, customers, and other disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of applicable electrical engineering experience.
• Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code, applicable building codes, and the electrical construction industry.
• Ability to work with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Completion of the FE exam.
• Experience with short-circuit current evaluation and arc-flash analysis.
• Knowledge of ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
