What you will do

• Design and lay out power, lighting, grounding and bonding, data, security, fire alarm, raceway, cable tray, and other electrical building systems.
• Perform power load, illumination, short-circuit, voltage-drop, and other fundamental engineering calculations.
• Prepare basis-of-design reports, code evaluations, single-line diagrams, plans, schedules, installation details, and specifications.
• Conduct field investigations and surveys of existing conditions to integrate designs with existing systems and structures.
• Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, designers, clients, manufacturers, construction trade partners, and other project participants.
• Support multiple project phases, including studies, schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm.
• Experience using Revit.
• Fundamental experience with electrical design calculations and lighting, power, and special systems design.
• Ability to interface with clients and external partners, conduct field surveys, and self-check work under engineer supervision.
• Ability to travel for client development and project execution.

Nice to have

• Fundamentals of Engineering Exam registration or completion.
