Senior Quality Technician - Afternoon Shift (Life Sciences)

Location: Toronto, Ontario; onsite, afternoon shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Pay range: CAD 22.40–30.80 per hour, plus eligibility for a target annual cash bonus based on individual and company performance.

What you will do

• Lead the consumables manufacturing QC team during the afternoon shift and align daily priorities with production supervisors and managers.
• Allocate work assignments, communicate the QC schedule, and support production targets for cartridge manufacturing.
• Perform QC assay runs on consumables cartridges, process results, and conduct basic statistical analysis.
• Complete QC documentation and generate Certificates of Analysis for cartridges.
• Troubleshoot QC issues, identify non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and champion continuous improvement.
• Coordinate materials, inventory, equipment operation, cross-training, safety, and compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and ISO 9001 standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a life science quality control environment with familiarity with QC workflows.
• Technical wet laboratory skills and the ability to work independently while leading a QC team with minimal guidance.
• Working knowledge of ISO and/or regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and quality focus.
• Working competency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and analytical software tools.
• BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline preferred; knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement is preferred or willingness to learn.
