Laboratory Technician - DIDO

Location: 16A Young St, Red Lake, Ontario, Canada; onsite laboratory role. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.

Salary: CAD 23–25 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine testing and analysis in geochemistry laboratory departments, following written work instructions.
• Receive, identify, prepare, dilute, catalogue, store, dispose of, and return samples.
• Log samples accurately in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and retrieve samples when needed.
• Set up analytical batches, prepare standards and reagents, calibrate laboratory equipment, and record calibration data.
• Interpret and evaluate results, monitor equipment maintenance and supplies, and report quality discrepancies.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and quality protocols while maintaining a clean working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in Canada is required.
• No prior experience is required.
• Ability to handle samples and laboratory equipment with good hand/eye coordination and follow instructions accurately and safely.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and LIMS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work under pressure during high-volume workloads.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary education in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or another science-related program.
