Biotech Analyst - Level 1 (Cell Biology) - 2 Year Contract

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; onsite, full-time

Salary: CAD 26.00–27.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine and complex analytical testing of biopharmaceutical finished products and raw materials.
• Execute testing according to validated methods, SOPs, cGMP guidelines, deviation procedures, and change controls.
• Complete work-order documentation and enter results into the electronic Laboratory Information System or client Certificate of Analysis.
• Plan and prioritize daily work, maintain equipment, and perform required calibrations and qualifications.
• Prepare study protocols, reports, forms, and SOPs with limited supervision.
• Execute method verifications, validations, and transfers, and support failure investigations and client technical discussions.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or an equivalent discipline.
• More than one year of relevant experience with the ability to complete complex duties.
• Experience with cell culture, ELISA, flow cytometry, microplate readers, qPCR, and ddPCR.
• Understanding of protein biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and/or biophysics.
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Authorization to work in Canada is required.
