Senior Civil Engineer / Land Development

Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina; candidates must reside in the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, or High Point areas of North Carolina. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application. Employees cannot currently reside in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, or PR.

Base compensation: $130,000–$150,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Develop, coordinate, and direct land development and municipal projects.
• Manage project delivery for a variety of clients and maintain relationships throughout and after project completion.
• Prepare project approaches, scopes, and fees.
• Present proposals, interview for projects, and select project teams.
• Make major project design decisions in collaboration with clients.
• Lead and mentor civil engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina.
• Experience with the design, construction, and management of land development and/or municipal projects.
• Demonstrated client management experience.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• At least 10 years of previous experience.
• Previous experience managing land development projects and staff.
• Experience serving as a technical mentor to junior-level staff.
• Membership in local, state, or national civil engineering societies and associations.
