Senior Civil Engineer

Location: San Diego, California, USA; hybrid work schedule.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, based on experience. Paid overtime at 1.0 times the hourly rate and an end-of-year discretionary bonus are available.

What you will do

• Apply civil engineering expertise across projects from entitlements and preliminary design through construction documents and construction administration.
• Manage multiple concurrent land development projects, including budgets and schedules.
• Lead design team efforts and coordinate with multidisciplinary professionals.
• Prepare and review hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, earthwork calculations, and civil construction documents.
• Interface with clients and build long-term client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and support design excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years of professional land development experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• Experience managing projects, leading design teams, coordinating multidisciplinary work, and managing budgets and schedules.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping, construction documents, and earthwork calculations.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
