Compensation: $156,456.65–$178,807.60 annually

hirify.global is expanding its Mid-Atlantic Land Development team and delivers civil and site development projects across public and private sectors.

What you will do

  • Lead land development and site civil engineering projects from concept planning through design, permitting, bidding, and construction closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, quality, financial performance, invoicing, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and maintain relationships across public and private sector projects.
  • Coordinate and mentor junior, mid-level, and senior engineers, project staff, and subconsultants.
  • Review engineering plans, reports, and specifications, and lead meetings, presentations, and approval processes with agencies and stakeholders.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and business development materials while providing technical direction on site design, grading, stormwater, utilities, and permitting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Washington, DC, or Virginia, or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 15+ years of progressive land development engineering experience, including design and project management.
  • Experience managing staff, collaborating with clients, and delivering public and private sector projects.
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes in Maryland, Washington, DC, and surrounding jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to manage multiple projects and present to stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Hydraflow, HydroCAD, or Storm & Sanitary Analysis.
  • Experience in grading, stormwater management, storm drains, erosion and sediment control, and utility design.
  • Industry involvement, professional organization participation, business development, proposal preparation, scope negotiation, or additional-services management experience.
