Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Washington, DC. Work is required at the Washington Navy Yard and nearby office locations up to 5 days per week; telework may be possible with customer approval. Occasional travel to naval locations including Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA.

What you will do

• Support the Program and Deputy Program Manager on a large Naval Sea Systems Command support services contract.
• Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor cybersecurity measures to strengthen cyber defense and network resilience.
• Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities, identify risks, and implement remediation or risk mitigation strategies.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, security controls, and Assessment and Authorization requirements.
• Respond to computer security breaches, restore protections, and prepare required reports.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Relevant cybersecurity, information assurance, or Risk Management Framework experience in Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys, and/or Laser systems.
• Qualification through one of the following paths: high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience; bachelor’s degree plus 5 years; or master’s degree plus 3 years.
• Knowledge of Navy and Department of Defense policy and guidance, cyber defense processes, assessments, and information assurance.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework and cybersecurity testing methods and processes.
