Security Engineer (Active Top Secret Clearance Required)

Location: Washington, D.C.; hybrid with 2 remote days, with the possibility of becoming 100% onsite at the client's request

What you will do

• Implement and manage security measures in accordance with Risk Management Framework guidelines.
• Use Tripwire, CyberArk, and other security configuration management tools to maintain secure system configurations.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security platforms, firewalls, network controls, and supporting infrastructure.
• Implement IDS/IPS capabilities, perform vulnerability assessments, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
• Support application security, data protection, identity and access management, and A&A activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, administrators, and stakeholders to remediate risks and document security configurations and assessments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance are required.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and intrusion detection/prevention in virtualized Windows environments.
• Experience administering firewalls and using Tripwire, CyberArk, and other security configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, virtual machine encryption, data-at-rest encryption, and identity and access management principles.
• Knowledge of secure network architectures, application security, A&A processes, APTs, phishing, social engineering, NAC, and anti-malware technologies.
• Strong cybersecurity expertise, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, independence, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
