Sustainability & Climate Solutions Specialist

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Salary: EUR 85,000–105,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Advise banking and insurance clients on sustainability and climate solutions, including ESG risk integration, credit onboarding, ICAAP, underwriting, and related workflows.
• Serve as a domain expert during pre-sales, up-sell, onboarding, training, and ongoing client support.
• Manage account plans, client satisfaction, renewals, retention risks, and revenue growth.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and conduct regular client calls and visits, including professional travel.
• Partner with product, research, development, technology, and other teams to create solutions based on client feedback.
• Lead the responsible adoption of AI tools and analytics to improve client engagement, service delivery, and data-informed decision-making.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in sustainability and climate topics within banks, insurance companies, or consultancies advising financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of sustainability and climate impacts on financial markets, loan books, insurance, and underwriting.
• Knowledge of banking or insurance operations and workflows for integrating sustainability and climate data.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
• Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, project management, and client relationship skills.
• Client-oriented, commercially aware, innovative, collaborative, and committed to personal and business integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience with sustainable finance regulation.
• MBA, CFA charter, or master’s degree.
