Banking & Financial Services - Associate & Engagement Manager (m/f/d) (Consulting)

What you will do

• Advise banks, insurers, investors, capital markets institutions, central banks, and ministries of finance on critical strategic and transformation challenges.
• Break down complex problems, plan and execute analyses, identify core issues, and develop practical recommendations.
• Guide junior consultants and manage small teams to deliver high-quality project work.
• Lead projects day to day, from initial problem framing through solution development and implementation planning.
• Work closely with clients and project teams while building strong senior stakeholder relationships.
• Identify new opportunities and contribute creative ideas to solve complex client problems.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization.
• In-depth knowledge of the banking sector.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and formulate recommendations.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program, willingness to travel, initiative, creativity, and collaborative working style.
