Fleet Maintenance Technician I

Industrial manufacturing company operating a factory environment.

What you will do

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts, man-lifts, boom lifts, powered pallet jacks, heavy-duty vehicles, and other fleet equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, routine servicing, and replacement of faulty parts.
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation faults by measuring AC/DC voltage, current, and power; perform basic wiring and use diagnostic software.
• Install and maintain belt, chain, shaft, bearing, pulley, sprocket, and coupling assemblies.
• Install, repair, and maintain pumps, hoses, valves, cylinders, filters, regulators, and seals while preventing fluid contamination.
• Report damaged equipment, consult with mechanics on smaller jobs, and collaborate with the maintenance team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and certification in a skilled maintenance trade.
• 1–3 years of basic mechanical experience.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, electronic communication, file management, and the ability to learn preventive maintenance software.
• Hands-on experience with equipment controls and familiarity with preventive or predictive maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings or blueprints.
• Ability to work safely at heights above 3 feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in dusty conditions and extreme temperatures.
