Maintenance Mechanic (Industrial Equipment)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair production machines and plant electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Plan, lay out, install, and repair electrical equipment including control centers, panels, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic controls.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns, replace defective parts and control modules, test equipment, and make adjustments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on compressors, lighting systems, cranes, welding machines, bandsaws, conveyors, motors, transmission systems, and other fabrication equipment.
• Perform plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry maintenance using hand tools, power tools, electrical testers, and material-handling equipment.
• Prepare maintenance reports in CMMS software and coordinate work orders and repair status with maintenance and production teams.

Requirements

• Two years of Maintenance Mechanic experience with electrical troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to build and wire industrial electrical circuits and read mechanical, electrical, and engineering blueprints.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical components and mechanical functions and use multimeters, voltage testers, electrical testers, tape measures, and outside micrometers.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout, HAZMAT, forklift safety, electrostatic discharge, foreign object damage, and quality-system awareness.
• High school or technical school education, ability to work independently, and availability for shifts of up to 12 hours, up to six days per week when required.

Nice to have

• PLC training.
• Crane repair, welding machine repair, forklift repair, or HVAC repair training.
