Maintenance Mechanic (Industrial Equipment) (Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance): Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production machines and plant electrical and mechanical equipment with an accent on preventive maintenance, industrial electrical circuits, and equipment diagnostics. Focus on repairing motors, conveyors, control systems, compressors, cranes, and fabrication equipment while minimizing production downtime.
Location: Houston, TX (TAS-Cullen HQ); onsite shop and manufacturing facility work

What you will do
- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair production machines and plant electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Plan, lay out, install, and repair electrical equipment including control centers, panels, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic controls.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns, replace defective parts and control modules, test equipment, and make adjustments.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on compressors, lighting systems, cranes, welding machines, bandsaws, conveyors, motors, transmission systems, and other fabrication equipment.
- Perform plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry maintenance using hand tools, power tools, electrical testers, and material-handling equipment.
- Prepare maintenance reports in CMMS software and coordinate work orders and repair status with maintenance and production teams.
Requirements
- Two years of Maintenance Mechanic experience with electrical troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to build and wire industrial electrical circuits and read mechanical, electrical, and engineering blueprints.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical components and mechanical functions and use multimeters, voltage testers, electrical testers, tape measures, and outside micrometers.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout, HAZMAT, forklift safety, electrostatic discharge, foreign object damage, and quality-system awareness.
- High school or technical school education, ability to work independently, and availability for shifts of up to 12 hours, up to six days per week when required.

- PLC training.
- Crane repair, welding machine repair, forklift repair, or HVAC repair training.
