What you will do

  • Support the development, production, integration, deployment, and sustainment of counter-air, counter-air defense, aerial target, aircraft, missile, and weapon systems.
  • Perform requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, configuration management, and risk management across the systems acquisition life cycle.
  • Develop systems engineering plans, technical reports, briefings, technical reviews, audits, assessments, milestone documentation, and acquisition artifacts.
  • Analyze aircraft and store compatibility, system and subsystem interfaces, life-cycle costs, logistics supportability, human factors, reliability, maintainability, producibility, and schedule.
  • Conduct trade-off, simulation, feasibility, proposal, make-or-buy, readiness, and alternative-analysis studies for armament-related systems.
  • Support contractor evaluations, source selection activities, Foreign Military Sales case management, international armaments cooperation, system-level testing, flight clearance, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • At least a Secret security clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with three years of relevant experience.
  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required for engineering support; engineering technology degrees do not qualify.
  • Experience with host aircraft and store compatibility, aircraft integration, interface control documents and plans, and Interface Control Working Groups.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-3014, MIL-A-8591, and Universal Armament Interface protocols.
  • Experience with aircraft avionics and electrical power systems, seekers, sensors, fire control, mission computers, GPS, INS, control actuators, RF interfaces, testing, airworthiness certification, and sustainment.
