Media Technician

What you will do

• Prepare laboratory media and set up quality controls.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation, including autoclaves and Masterclave equipment.
• Handle sanitation, dishwashing, and media inventory management.
• Identify process difficulties, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results, and report proposed solutions.
• Follow quality management procedures, SOPs, local work instructions, ISO/IEC 17025, AOAC ALACC, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain safe, sanitary, and efficient laboratory operations while communicating with colleagues, clients, and staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Responsive problem-solving and action-oriented approach.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
