Full Time Laboratory Technician I (Food Testing)

Location: DeSoto, Texas, USA; onsite laboratory role. Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

What you will do

• Manage outsourced samples with partner laboratories to support timely certificate-of-analysis release.
• Prepare samples for sister and contract laboratories, including aseptic preparation and associated process controls.
• Process electronic client and laboratory orders and register incoming samples.
• Enter accurate sample data into the laboratory information management system and maintain daily records.
• Coordinate with courier services and assist with courier-route logistics when needed.
• Maintain supplies, follow quality and safety procedures, and report process difficulties with proposed solutions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in microbiology, food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
• Strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks, work independently and collaboratively, and follow procedures.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
