Laboratory Technician l

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States. Full-time onsite position with a Tuesday–Saturday shift: 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Tuesday–Friday and 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m. Saturday.

What you will do

• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate daily work and quality-control records.
• Enter sample data into the Eurofins eLIMS system accurately and promptly.
• Perform laboratory testing on incoming samples while meeting turnaround-time goals.
• Verify results and submit them for reporting to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify process difficulties, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results, and report proposed solutions to the supervisor.
• Follow laboratory quality, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures, including ISO/IEC 17025 and AOAC ALACC requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, communicate with colleagues and clients, and follow laboratory procedures.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a laboratory environment.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in microbiology, food sciences, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
