Laboratory Technician (Food Testing)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa, USA; onsite, third shift Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m.

What you will do

• Perform daily assays and testing of samples from assigned work lists.
• Set up sample batches, weigh samples, and prepare solutions for testing.
• Identify samples requiring rechecks and report analytical or method-related difficulties with proposed solutions.
• Record test data and results in logbooks and eLIMS accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean laboratory, including cleaning work areas and glassware and disposing of hazardous waste according to procedure.
• Follow quality, safety, environmental, confidentiality, and company procedures while communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 0–3 years of experience.
• Basic understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, respond effectively, and solve problems proactively.
• Availability for the third shift from Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m., in Des Moines, Iowa.
