What you will do
- Register incoming samples and maintain accurate daily laboratory records.
- Enter sample data into the eLIMS laboratory information management system.
- Perform microbiological testing, including sample preparation, plating, and plate reading.
- Verify results and submit them for transmission while meeting sample turnaround goals.
- Identify process difficulties, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results, and report proposed solutions.
- Follow laboratory quality, safety, environmental, ISO/IEC 17025, AOAC ALACC, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
- Proficiency using eLIMS.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, punctuality, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
