Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager

Location: Remote, Florida; candidates must reside in Florida. hirify.global is currently unable to hire employees residing in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico. Base compensation: $130,000–$150,000, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Manage wastewater infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support the planning, design, and construction of wastewater treatment, pumping, distribution, storage, and conveyance projects.
• Develop solutions to complex wastewater treatment challenges with engineers, designers, and other professionals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project solutions.
• Build and maintain client relationships throughout project development and after completion.
• Manage and mentor junior-level staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Florida Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience designing and constructing municipal, state, federal, or industrial wastewater treatment projects.
• Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulations.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience designing or managing water or wastewater treatment or conveyance projects.
• Knowledge of regional water and wastewater issues and municipal government clients.
• Ability to scope, budget, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
