Business Applications Engineering Manager (Microsoft Entra ID)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, New York, United States

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead the Business Applications function, enterprise application portfolio, operating model, strategy, and technology roadmaps.
• Manage SaaS platforms including Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Box, Atlassian products, learning management systems, compliance platforms, and content management systems.
• Configure and operate SSO, identity integrations, provisioning, entitlement management, authentication, and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID and related technologies.
• Lead application integrations, APIs, provisioning workflows, reverse proxy solutions, implementations, upgrades, and operational transitions.
• Establish governance, lifecycle management, application inventory, access reviews, operational metrics, vendor management, and service maturity practices.
• Mentor engineers and partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product, Information Security, Infrastructure Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, and IT Support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, identity management, business systems, or related technology functions.
• 2+ years of experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, managing technical teams, or owning enterprise application initiatives.
• Hands-on experience administering SaaS and enterprise application environments, especially Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure/Entra enterprise applications, SSO, SAML/OIDC, access controls, identity governance, provisioning, and authentication troubleshooting.
• Experience with application lifecycle management, change management, testing, deployment planning, operational metrics, governance processes, and technology roadmaps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft 365 add-ins, application permissions, SaaS automation, scripting, APIs, provisioning workflows, dashboards, and operational automation.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS tools, ERP systems, vendor management platforms, asset management platforms, CMS/DMS, or learning management systems.
• Experience in financial services, regulated environments, or organizations with strong compliance and security requirements.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and productivity.
