Senior Manager, Collaboration Platform Engineering (AI)

Location: Houston, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle, United States

Base salary: $180,000–$270,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Define and deliver the roadmap for collaboration and productivity platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Notion, and approved AI tools.
• Lead the engineering, configuration, lifecycle management, security, reliability, integrations, licensing, and operational health of collaboration platforms.
• Build and govern automations using APIs, scripts, platform-native capabilities, and workflow tooling for joiner, mover, leaver, approval, reporting, and service workflows.
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI productivity tools such as Gemini and embed AI capabilities into knowledge management, reporting, and business workflows.
• Partner with Security, Legal, and business teams on access controls, data protection, governance, compliance, documentation, and change management.
• Lead the collaboration platform engineering team and provide escalation support for complex platform issues.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading collaboration, productivity, SaaS, or enterprise platform engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Notion, or similar enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Experience defining platform strategy, governance, standards, operating models, and measurable business improvements.
• Strong understanding of workflow design, automation, APIs, integrations, and platform-native automation.
• Experience managing security and compliance requirements, including access, logging, data protection, and audit support.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-growing international technology, cloud, infrastructure, or AI organisation.
• Experience with Google Workspace transformation, adoption, or migration programmes.
• Experience with Jira Service Management, Confluence, Slack workflows, Google Apps Script, or low-code automation.
• Experience introducing or governing enterprise AI productivity tools such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT.
• Familiarity with Okta, JumpCloud, Entra ID, SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, or SOX.
