Zonal Underwriting Manager, Retail Property

Location: GA-Atlanta; primarily in the office

What you will do

• Execute the geographic underwriting strategy for Retail Property and manage all branch underwriting within the zone.
• Set, implement, and evaluate production, profitability, penetration, and volume goals.
• Drive the long-term business strategy, including portfolio management, market segmentation, acquisition, and distribution.
• Act as a technical authority for major or multiple Retail Property insurance product lines.
• Manage annual budgets, monthly forecasts, governance, systems, controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, evaluate, develop, and staff underwriting teams while building talent pipelines and succession strength.

Requirements

• Broad-based insurance industry experience.
• Preferred minimum of 15+ years of insurance operational management experience.
• Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution.
• Process and systems skills.
• Strategic orientation and experience developing organizational capability.
• Strong influencing, communication, change-management, and team-leadership skills.
