Claims Manager (Insurance)

What you will do

• Coach, develop, motivate, and empower claims professionals while building accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Direct daily claims operations, monitoring workflow, service levels, quality, staffing capacity, and productivity.
• Act as an escalation point for complex or sensitive claims, customer situations, and operational issues.
• Guide teams through organizational, process, product, and technology changes, including implementation of new operating models and initiatives.
• Use data, trends, technology, and AI-enabled tools to improve performance, capacity, workflow, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
• Partner with sales, audit, compliance/legal, technology, customer contact center, and other teams to manage risk and improve end-to-end processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in claims processing, insurance, annuities, financial services, or a related field, including 2+ years of formal or informal leadership.
• Experience with annuity and/or financial services products is required.
• Ability to coach and develop teams through change while sustaining performance, engagement, and accountability.
• Strong operational judgment and critical-thinking skills for managing competing priorities, complex cases, escalations, and business risk.
• Strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
