Water Engineer / Project Manager

Location: Remote, Florida; candidates must reside in Florida. Candidates may relocate to Florida, and hirify.global currently cannot hire residents of Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico.

Base compensation: $130,000–$150,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Manage water infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Lead planning, design, and construction activities for water treatment, pumping, distribution, and storage projects.
• Develop solutions to complex water treatment challenges with engineers, designers, and other professionals.
• Maintain client relationships throughout project development and after completion.
• Manage and mentor junior-level staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license in Florida, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience designing and constructing municipal, state, federal, or industrial water treatment projects.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment systems, equipment, and regulations.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience designing or managing water treatment projects.
• Knowledge of regional water issues and municipal government clients.
• Experience scoping and budgeting new water facility projects and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
