Electrical Engineer (Automotive)

Location: hirify.global, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, routine shift hours

Annual pay range: $64,500–$103,500

What you will do

• Design and redesign electrical systems, subsystems, parts, and components for heavy-duty vehicles.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, investigations, and technical documentation under supervision.
• Support senior engineers with plans, designs, computation methods, and reports.
• Provide technical assistance during prototype, pilot, and production builds, including manufacturing problem resolution.
• Process engineering changes through change notices, change proposals, and print documentation.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and business disciplines and external suppliers.

Requirements

• Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Internship experience or at least six months of related work experience.
• Ability to perform structured engineering analysis, calculations, documentation, and problem solving.
• Ability to communicate technical information and interpret technical procedures, safety rules, regulations, and engineering materials.
• Some positions may require access to controlled goods and technologies and eligibility as a U.S. Person under applicable regulations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.
• Experience with CAN, SAE J1939, or vehicle networking.
• Automotive or heavy-equipment repair or design experience.
• Wire harness design experience.
