Engineering & Equipment Technician

Location: Wallingford, Connecticut, United States; onsite work in production, bio-lab, and cleanroom environments

Pay range: $28.80–$39.60 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust automated and semi-automated production equipment in a cleanroom environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and help create or update maintenance procedures.
• Support pick-and-place systems, liquid dispensing equipment, fluidics bonding processes, and inspection stations.
• Collaborate with production operators and engineers to resolve equipment and process issues.
• Participate in equipment modification validation and production testing.
• Train personnel in equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting and maintain records for audits.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role and a technical high school diploma.
• Hands-on mechanical skills and experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with automation and assembly technologies, including pneumatics, vacuum systems, motors, actuators, and fixtures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Electro-Mechanical disciplines preferred.
• Must have United States work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LabVIEW, Beckhoff, and PLC control systems.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO regulations.
• Understanding of machining, molding, and material properties.
