Senior Underwriter - Property - CorSo

Location: Plano, Texas, US; hybrid work with an expectation of three days per week in the office. Some regional travel, including air travel, is required.

Base salary: $156,000–$234,000 per year, with total compensation also including incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of medium and large corporate property accounts, including fronted global property programs.
• Analyze natural catastrophe and man-made property exposures, technical insurability, coverages, policy terms, and pricing metrics.
• Prepare quotations, structure shared, layered, single-carrier, and other risk-transfer programs, and develop client proposals.
• Maintain risk information and account administration in underwriting tools and information systems.
• Develop a book of business, originate prospects, and represent hirify.global in client and broker meetings.
• Coach less experienced underwriters and lead internal or external technical, organizational, and market-development projects.

Requirements

• 4–10+ years of experience underwriting medium to large corporate accounts.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial property underwriting and the insurance market in the Central Region of the United States.
• Experience with complex shared and layered program structures and 100% single-carrier business.
• Strong understanding of natural catastrophe and man-made risk management and loss prevention.
• Proficiency with underwriting tools, applications, and guidelines, plus the ability to negotiate and manage multiple deals in parallel.
• Strong broker and client network in the local region and the ability to build effective internal and external partnerships.

• Experience structuring and fronting global programs.
