Behavioural Science and Human-AI Consultant (Human-AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office

Annual base salary: GBP 46,000–68,000 for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation and location-specific benefits.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end behavioural science and human-AI consulting projects from reimagination and MVP development through scaling.
• Partner with AI product teams, business leads, UX/UI specialists, and other experts to design effective human-AI workflows.
• Diagnose behavioural and organisational challenges and create interventions that support appropriate trust, reliance, verification, and adoption of AI outputs.
• Translate behavioural and human-AI research into practical recommendations using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Develop measures of decision quality, appropriate reliance, productivity, user experience, and business value.
• Turn project learnings into reusable principles, frameworks, tools, and guidelines for Life and Health and the wider hirify.global Group.

Requirements

• Advanced degree, such as a master's degree or PhD, in behavioural science, psychology, cognitive science, human-computer interaction, UX/user research, organisational psychology, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience in behavioural science consulting, innovation/R&D, human-centred design, change management, or AI transformation.
• Knowledge of human-AI interaction and AI-enabled workflows, including trust and reliance, explainability, human oversight, automation, user agency, or AI adoption.
• Experience with interviews, observation, surveys, experiments, behavioural data analysis, usability testing, or other qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Strong problem-solving, advisory, communication, workshop facilitation, stakeholder-management, and independent project-ownership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another complex or regulated industry.
• Additional language skills.
