Shared Services Transformation Consultant (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with attendance in the office or on client site at least 2 days per week, and potentially up to 5 days per week on a client site. UK residency requirements may apply for security clearance: applicants must be British citizens or have lived continuously in the UK for the past 5 years.

What you will do

• Lead or support shared services strategy, operating model design, sourcing options appraisal, and business case development.
• Manage transformation workstreams across Finance, HR, Procurement, and IT shared services, including systems integrator and vendor oversight.
• Align business processes with platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, and ServiceNow.
• Develop target operating models and governance frameworks for shared services environments.
• Advise clients across the transformation lifecycle, from diagnostics and implementation through hypercare and benefits realisation.
• Identify and deliver AI-led opportunities, including intelligent automation, agentic process handling, and data-driven service delivery.

Requirements

• Industry leadership or operational experience in Finance, HR, IT, or Procurement, preferably in a shared services centre or GBS environment, or consulting experience supporting shared services transformation.
• Experience acting as a business integrator between client stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Knowledge of process standardisation, continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, change management, and organisational design.
• Experience with shared services platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Workday, ServiceNow, or similar.
• Understanding of AI-led back-office transformation, including LLM-enabled workflows, agentic process handling, intelligent automation, and AI governance.
• Applicants for roles requiring UK security clearance must meet the stated UK citizenship or five-year continuous residency requirement and pass background checks.

Nice to have

• Experience in business process design, data migration strategy, reporting and analytics transformation, cost modelling, or operational process improvement.
• Experience across public and private sector shared services environments.
• Experience identifying and implementing AI-led improvements such as transactional automation, AI-driven exception handling, or intelligent self-service.
