Water/Wastewater Engineer

Location: Remote, Virginia; candidates must reside in Virginia. Candidates may indicate willingness to relocate. Hiring is currently unavailable for residents of Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Puerto Rico.

Base compensation: $120,000–$150,000 per year, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Manage and support multidisciplinary water and wastewater infrastructure projects and project teams.
• Plan, design, and support construction of drinking water treatment, pumping, distribution, storage, and conveyance projects.
• Develop solutions to complex water and wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to deliver project solutions.
• Maintain client relationships throughout project development and after completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
• Experience managing or supporting multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience designing and constructing municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water or wastewater treatment projects.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, best practices, water treatment systems, equipment, and regulations.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Eight years of experience designing or managing drinking water or wastewater treatment projects.
• Knowledge of regional water and wastewater issues and municipal government clients.
• Ability to scope, budget, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools.
