TL;DR
Production Manager - Lamination (Manufacturing Operations): Leading lamination production operations in a fiberglass and composite manufacturing environment with an accent on Lean methods, safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction. Focus on supervising production teams, improving value-stream performance, solving flow and bottleneck issues, and transitioning new products and technologies into production.

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States; onsite. Minimal travel required, up to 5%.

Salary: $103,200–$144,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead and supervise supervisors, team leads, support staff, and production employees in a manufacturing operation.
  • Apply Lean tools including Andon, value-stream mapping, flow improvement, and line balancing.
  • Drive safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement across the production area.
  • Monitor production flow, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Coach and develop supervisors, team leaders, and Lean Six Sigma belt employees.
  • Oversee the transition of new products and technologies into production while maintaining employee communication and relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field, or related experience in lamination, fiberglass, or composite manufacturing.
  • At least 7 years of operational experience across multiple manufacturing, quality, or engineering phases, including cross-functional leadership.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and demonstrated experience; Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Lean tools and operational management, with a proven ability to drive results through leadership and influence.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, with strong verbal, written, listening, and communication skills.
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Strong organizational, follow-up, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; simulation software experience is a plus.
  • Experience demonstrating respectful, inclusive, ethical, and employee-focused leadership.
