Financial Institutions - Director / Senior Director (NY/ Chicago)

Location: New York, New York or Chicago, Illinois; hybrid schedule with office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Annual base salary: $150,000–$250,000

What you will do

• Analyze financial statements from banks and other financial institutions to develop rating recommendations.
• Create committee memoranda, research reports, and analytical materials with quantitative and qualitative assessments.
• Collaborate on comprehensive financial institution and industry reports.
• Present rating recommendations to rating committees and participate in meetings with rated institutions and investors.
• Monitor a portfolio of financial institutions and assess significant developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in a financial institution or credit rating agency.
• Expertise in credit analysis, credit ratings, or the banking sector.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Advanced graduate degree or CFA designation.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research and productivity.
