VP/Senior Investment Associate - Infrastructure Debt

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 yearly, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Originate, underwrite, execute, and manage infrastructure debt investment opportunities.
• Screen potential investments for credit quality, value, duration, structure, and portfolio fit.
• Conduct fundamental credit and legal diligence, prepare investment committee materials, and obtain approvals.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, Ratings, Legal, borrowers, and other internal and external counterparties.
• Monitor existing investments through financial and compliance reporting, risk updates, waivers, and approvals.
• Support capital raising, investment solution development, and broader infrastructure debt strategy.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in buy-side debt private placements, ideally across multiple infrastructure debt sectors.
• Experience reviewing transactions and structuring bilateral investments based on credit, structure, and relative value.
• Expertise in investment diligence, credit risk identification, rating agency methodologies, legal documentation, and financial model analysis.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with an organized, focused, and self-motivated approach.
