Managing Consultant - Public Services - Complex Procurement

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with attendance at the office or client site for a minimum of 2 days per week, and up to 5 days per week depending on the assignment.

What you will do

• Lead and deliver large-scale procurements, commercial strategies, and transactions for UK central government and arm’s-length bodies.
• Provide commercial insight, challenge, and structure across contractual, sourcing, and supplier-management activities.
• Help clients solve problems spanning commercial, operational, and policy boundaries.
• Contribute to go-to-market activity and develop public services commercial propositions.

Requirements

• Consulting experience delivering complex public-sector transactions under UK public procurement regulations.
• Ability to act as a commercial business partner, beyond a procurement-lead role.
• Experience with technology-centric deals such as outsourcing, platforms or ERP, telecommunications, emergency communications, or comparable technology procurements.
• Experience across the full commercial lifecycle, including business cases, ITTs, market engagement, evaluation design, negotiation, contract award, and mobilisation or implementation support.
• Strong numeracy, value-for-money judgement, ROI evaluation, and performance-regime structuring skills.
• Ability to work with commercial directors, procurement lawyers, senior responsible owners, programme directors, technical leads, and supplier executives.
