Remote Regional Healthcare Senior Finance Manager (Surgical Practices)

Location: Fully remote, but must currently reside in Texas or be willing to relocate to Texas before the start date. Preferred locations include Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. Up to 25% travel for key meetings.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, KPI dashboards, and recommendations for regional and practice leadership.
• Support annual budgeting and recurring forecasting cycles by coordinating inputs, validating assumptions, and maintaining driver-based financial models.
• Partner with physicians, practice leaders, Operations, Controllers, and the Division Finance Director on financial performance, productivity, costs, and ad hoc analysis.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, including business cases, ROI and NPV analyses, and tracking approved projects against budgets and timelines.
• Analyze revenue, discounts, expenses, accounts receivable aging, working capital, and other performance metrics while recommending corrective actions.
• Provide financial analysis for provider recruitment, service-line growth, practice integrations, and M&A diligence, and contribute to automation and AI-enabled reporting improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience in FP&A, financial analysis, valuations, controllership, or a similar area.
• Experience supporting senior leaders with accurate financial analysis in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Must reside in Texas or relocate to Texas before the start date; the role includes up to 25% travel.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, and/or CPA.
• Experience in healthcare services, oncology, hospital administration, outpatient surgery, renal care, or multi-specialty practices.
• Experience supporting surgical specialties, surgical practices, or procedural service lines.
