Finance Manager (AI Healthcare)

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day US finance operations with autonomy while partnering closely with Group Finance in Australia.
• Own US employee payroll decisions, compensation changes, RVU-based radiologist payments, bonuses, withholding, and benefits deductions.
• Direct outsourced payroll, accounting, and HR-compliance providers, approve deliverables, and develop a roadmap to progressively bring capabilities in-house.
• Manage multi-state payroll-tax registrations, filings, deposits, compliance calendars, banking relationships, accounts payable, and expenses.
• Lead US management reporting, variance analysis, headcount and payroll-cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow inputs.
• Analyse cost-per-read and RVU economics, support the teleradiology P&L, and partner with operational, People & Culture, Legal, and Group Finance teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA and able to operate as the primary US-based finance decision-maker.
• 5+ years of experience in US finance or accounting, including hands-on payroll and payroll-tax compliance.
• Experience directing an outsourced or fractional finance, payroll, accounting, or HR-compliance provider.
• Working knowledge of Rippling or a comparable multi-state US payroll platform.
• Experience with variable compensation, worker classification, US accounts payable, and expense administration.
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with an overseas Group Finance function.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Healthcare, radiology, physician, or RVU-based compensation experience.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
