Software Engineer 3 - Linux/Bash/Python/Java/IaC/Docker/CI/CD

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Engineer, implement, integrate, and sustain a project tool suite in a Linux environment.
• Implement secure credential management, privileged access controls, secrets management, and automation capabilities.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the tool technologies running on Linux systems.
• Integrate RESTful services and APIs and automate secrets handling in CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot system-level issues involving logs, services, networking, and authentication in distributed environments.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for large Linux clusters.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance and favorable polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with five years of relevant SWE experience, bachelor’s degree with seven years, or nine years of relevant SWE experience.
• Experience with the Linux CLI, Linux administration, Bash, Python, and Java.
• Hands-on experience with at least one Delinea product, such as Secret Server, Privilege Manager, or DevOps Secrets Vault.
• Knowledge of IAM, PAM, certificate-based authentication, security best practices, IaC, Ansible or SaltStack, and containerization with Docker or Podman.

Nice to have

• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience supporting enterprise security tools or working in cybersecurity-focused software engineering.
