What you will do

  • Investigate field failures and customer-reported issues affecting automotive PMIC products.
  • Review RMA documentation and establish simulation or hardware environments to reproduce failures.
  • Analyze waveforms, analog simulations, RTL/netlists, silicon behavior, and failure-analysis results to determine root causes.
  • Coordinate structured investigations with customer applications, design, test, quality, and failure-analysis teams.
  • Prepare customer-facing presentations, 8D reports, root cause analyses, fix proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Propose and validate silicon fixes or system-level workarounds, then lead technical handoffs and case closure.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience in IC design, debug, failure analysis, or sustaining engineering.
  • Experience diagnosing complex silicon or system-level failures in mixed-signal PMIC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit behavior, waveform analysis, and silicon implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with EDA and debug tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and simulation environments.
  • Experience with failure-analysis processes, including SEM, FIB, emission microscopy, and interpretation of physical analysis results.
  • Knowledge of Verilog, Verilog-AMS or scripting languages, 8D methodology, and customer quality processes; BSEE or MSEE required.
