Software Engineer 3 - Linux/Bash/Python/Rust/NoSQL/Docker/Kubernetes/Helm

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Develop, sustain, test, and troubleshoot the project’s software suite of applications.
• Implement future software capabilities as mission needs arise.
• Integrate software with COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.
• Develop Bash scripts and recent Python software.
• Deploy and operate containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph are required.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus five years of relevant SWE experience, or bachelor’s degree plus seven years of experience, or nine years of relevant SWE experience.
• Experience with the Linux CLI, Linux tools, Bash, and Python 3.x.
• Experience with Rust programming concepts or the aptitude to learn Rust.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, RabbitMQ, GitLab CI, Ansible, and Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL.
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including Jira and Confluence.
