TL;DR
Deployment Engineer (IoT): Deploying and integrating Bueno’s cloud-based analytics platform with BMS, HVAC, EMS, and refrigeration systems across client sites with an accent on BACnet, Modbus, secure connectivity, and data quality. Focus on configuring edge devices, verifying building-system data, troubleshooting data flows, and supporting building optimization, operational efficiency, and carbon reduction.

What you will do
- Deploy the Bueno cloud analytics platform across client building systems, projects, and portfolio rollouts.
- Perform BACnet discovery, Modbus configuration, object verification, data tagging, modelling, and validation against site schematics.
- Work with client IT/OT teams, vendors, internal engineers, and contractors to establish secure connectivity and troubleshoot data flows.
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual edge devices.
- Prepare site deployments according to project timelines and client requirements while maintaining documentation.
- Identify deployment risks and technical issues, and contribute to improved engineering standards and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of practical experience in HVAC, building management systems, building automation, or a related technical environment.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and/or refrigeration systems.
- Practical knowledge of BACnet and Modbus protocols.
- Understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and basic routing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Full rights to work in the United Kingdom are required; visa sponsorship or work authorization will not be provided.
Nice to have
- Experience with BMS platforms used in the UK and Europe.
- Knowledge of MQTT, API integrations, Linux, Ubuntu, and cloud-based ETL or data-ingestion workflows.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
