Digital Buildings Consultant (Building Controls)

What you will do

• Support digital transformation projects for global technology companies, data centres, commercial real estate, and complex smart buildings.
• Review existing building systems and identify opportunities to improve building performance.
• Govern the delivery of Digital Building solutions and develop smart building strategies.
• Integrate BMS, IoT, and enterprise systems.
• Produce technical designs, functional specifications, points schedules, wiring diagrams, network architecture, and technical documentation.
• Work with clients and multidisciplinary teams while helping shape future smart building standards.

Requirements

• Approximately 3–8 years of experience in Digital Buildings, BMS, or building controls.
• Experience with several areas such as BMS, building automation, HVAC controls, lighting control systems, or energy management systems.
• Knowledge of controls and integration technologies such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, DALI, M-Bus, LON, Niagara, or Tridium.
• Experience with controls design, system architecture, smart building integrations, IoT devices, building analytics, digital twins, or cloud-connected building systems.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• A degree is welcome but not essential when supported by strong industry experience.

Nice to have

• Experience as a BMS Engineer, Controls Engineer, Building Automation Engineer, Smart Buildings Engineer, Digital Buildings Engineer, Building Controls Designer, Technical Consultant, Systems Integrator, IoT Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer.
