Technical Accounting Manager, Advisory (Fintech)

Salary: $124,910–$236,800 annually

What you will do

• Advise CFOs, controllers, finance directors, and other senior stakeholders on complex technical accounting matters.
• Lead advisory engagements involving consolidations, revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, impairments, and share-based payments.
• Provide guidance on the classification, measurement, and disclosure of financial instruments under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Support accounting policy development, restatements, material weakness remediation, transaction support, and finance transformation.
• Supervise, develop, and mentor staff while collaborating with senior managers, partners, and client engagement teams.
• Strengthen client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to recruiting and firm development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a large accounting firm, audit, or financial advisory services within the financial services industry.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• CPA required. CFA or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Deep knowledge and practical application of current US GAAP and/or IFRS advisory standards.
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, multitasking, leadership, and client-management abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct, and related financial applications, workflows, controls, consolidation, reporting, and analytics.
• CFA or another relevant professional certification.
