Director - Corporate Finance Advisory

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; full-time onsite role. Travel may be required for less than 25% annually.

Salary: $192,500–$346,430 per year

What you will do

• Advise CFOs, private equity sponsors, and senior executives through FP&A and finance transformation engagements.
• Lead interim FP&A leadership, finance function stand-up, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and operational finance initiatives.
• Build three-statement models, 13-week cash flow models, scenario analyses, management reporting, dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
• Support PE-backed companies with value creation, performance improvement, cash flow optimization, and finance infrastructure development.
• Build standardized methodologies, tools, forecasting frameworks, reporting templates, and analytics solutions.
• Develop client relationships, lead proposals and deal shaping, contribute to market-facing content, and grow the practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience across consulting, accounting, corporate FP&A, or finance leadership roles.
• Experience working with private equity firms or PE-backed portfolio companies and understanding value creation, reporting, liquidity, and cash management.
• Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation, FP&A build-outs, operational finance initiatives, and complex client engagements.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills with strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Executive communication, business development, project management, and organizational skills; familiarity with U.S. GAAP.

Nice to have

• CPA, CMA, CFA, or similar professional credential.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar FP&A and analytics tools.
• Big Four or national accounting and consulting firm experience.
