Sr. Project Engineer (BEV Systems)

Location: Remote off-site within the United States; occasional travel may be required for vehicle testing, program milestones, and cross-functional collaboration.

Salary: $104,100–$173,900 per year.

What you will do

• Evaluate, define, and integrate electronic control modules and electrical architectures for BEV delivery vehicle product lines.
• Own systems engineering requirements and test cases for BEV powertrain and energy management.
• Review supplier specifications and guide internal teams through control-module integration.
• Review test cases and support vehicle verification and validation activities.
• Coordinate module configurations with suppliers and maintain requirements-to-validation traceability.
• Support system-level safety analysis and resolve requirements, testing, configuration, and integration issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, automotive, software engineering, or a comparable field.
• 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic architecture.
• Experience specifying or integrating battery management systems, EV charging, torque arbitration controllers, e-axles, inverters, and onboard chargers.
• Experience with systems-engineering requirements management, CAN communication and protocols, and J1772/DC charging communication.
• Some positions may require U.S. Person status for access to controlled goods and technologies under ITAR or EAR.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or software discipline.
• Expertise with DOORS Next Gen or Jama.
• Expertise with Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, PEAK PCAN, or Kvaser CANKing.
• Experience with large OEM processes and procedures.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
